1. Turn on ignition
2. In demister controls do the following:
2.1 Set air flow
2.2 Set fan speed
2.3 Set the temperature
3. Vents open and direct to windows
4. Turn on Rear Heater Screen (a button with 3 heating waves going up)

When it’s safe turn on a rear windscreen wiper
1. Locate Rear Wiper Control
2. Operate as in car’s manual
3. Check that the window has been cleared (by looking to interior mirror)
1. Turn on ignition
2. Switched headlight to main beam
3. Check with main beam warning light (blue lighting icon)
1. Turn on the ignition
2. Turn on dipped headlights
3. Check warning light is on
4. Explain when dipped headlights / fog lights needs to be switched on
If the steering becomes heavy, the system may not be working properly.
Before starting a journey, 2 simple checks can be made:
1. Gentle pressure on the steering wheel, maintained while the engine is started, should result in a slight but noticeable movement as the system begins to operate
2. Alternatively turning the steering wheel just after moving off will give an immediate indication that the power assistance is functioning
1. Turn on ignition, press the brake pedal
2. Make use of reflections in windows or doors, or ask someone to help and tell if brake lights are working
